Laydies and gentleman,
this time i write in English because English is the language of almost all movie-heros of our time. See it as a kind of tribute to the mother-tongue of our movie-heros.
And that’s what this blog is about: every guy likes to be like him and the girls all wanna be with him - no, i don’t talk about me, haha. I’m talkin’ about the greatest action-hero of all time in movie-history. But who is the man of the men? Who makes the girls sweat and the boys smile? Who hits harder and smiles smarter while jumpin’ off an exploding aeroplane? Well, i’m not the one who can decide this sensitve issue. So you have to do so.
And the nominees are:

Bruce Lee, because he had real life talent, the rest of them were made to look good with special effects and stunt doubles.
Though I have to give a hat tip to Steve McQueen and Sean Connery, they were very entertaining, fake or not.

I’d normally refuse to vote because of the presence of Tom Cruise - how can you be an action hero if you’re too small to ride the Mission Impossible roller coaster at Movie World? And even in the category Favourite Midget he’s far behind Wee Man, Warwick Davis (Willow) and the black guy from Me, Myself and Irene.
BUT: seeing as you’ve put so much effort into finding the right Youtube videos, I’d see Clint Eastwood, Bruce Willis and Steven Seagal at the top.

I agree with the Tom Cruise argument
but since action movies have to be full of special effects and stunt doubles (+ quotes that are easy to remember!) this is how it should look like: Stallone (”killing is as easy as breathing”), Willis (”Welcome to the party, pal!”
and Arnie (I’ll be back) ….

And the winner is without a doubt Sly Stallone. What other “action-heroes” master with their brains, solves Rambo/Rocky in his own poetical way
“The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It is a very mean and nasty place It will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me or nobody is going to hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard you hit, it is about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward, how much can you take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done!” (Rocky Balboa)
The other nominees are also heroes - especially Tom Cruise, who is able to change his body height according to requirements, because of his supernatural skills - but Sly is the most uncompromising.

Wow,you were right Flo: that Rambo trailer really is quite rough; looks like some fine reactionary entertainment.

Arnold Schwarzenegger no doubt..He his a pure action hero. All of his filns are awesome. After Arnold, I would certainly choose Stallone as he was also the super hero of the 80s and 90s.

Martin Riggs and Indiana Jones,i love them equally, they are both so much better and cooler than that most overestamated John McClane!!!!!!!!

So indeed for these roles,it must be Mel Gibson and Harrison Ford!

Great List!
Schwarzenegger as a pure fantasy action hero (tops Stallone since Sly borders between fantasy and realism in his action work).
Bronson as the realistic, gritty killer elite. The most realistic of the bunch and the guy least likely you want on your ass - cause you’re already dead.
Bruce Lee as a living weapon - closer to Bronson then the others in realism but only when he’s fighting.
Matt Damon should probably be considered now instead of Cruise as the Bourne Series tops MI and is up there with the DieHard series. The Bourne Series trumps all espionage stuff - including 007!
Wesley Snipes probably belongs is the sub-category superhero (an alternate reality universe)
Harrison Ford always seems to play the reluctant hero (Raiders, Star Wars, Fugitive) but Bruce Willis is so much better at this than he is.

I have to say Harrison Ford, because out of all of them he has created, in my opinion, the best and most well known legendary characters (Han Solo, Indiana Jones, Jack Ryan).
But I’d have to say Clint Eastwood as a close 2nd, followed by Sean Connery or Bruce Lee. Special mention to Bruce Lee because he had a real skill.
